This talk will give an overview of the recent work of the VUB-ETRO
research group in the field of rehabilitation engineering. We describe
the different components in a platform for game based physical
rehabilitation: (1) low cost motion sensors for controlling the games,
(2) approaches for customising the games with respect to therapeutic
goals and difficulty level, and (3) approaches for deriving clinically
relevant information from the games.
The talk will address both technical aspects and clinical challenges
and provide first results on patient groups.
