Abstract:
Climate change is often viewed as a potential threat to animal populations, yet increasingly many studies are showing the enormous flexibility of animals to adapt in the face a warming climate. In this talk I will discuss the flexibility in growth of young birds in the light of changes in food availability, feeding time and temperature, and how this could carry over to survival and eventual body size. I will show several examples from field data, but would like to use the opportunity of this meeting to discuss on the potential for experimental work.
