Abstract:
Abstract:
Cognitive impairments are core features of psychotic illness, impacting goal-directed behavior, adaptive responses to changing environments, and real-world functioning. Dr. Demro’s work focuses on characterizing specific cognitive processes driving such impairments, their neural correlates, and response to intervention. Among individuals in the early phases of psychotic illness, cognitive control and reward learning are key processes impacting outcomes. Dr. Demro will present on computationally-informed patterns of behavior, corresponding neural activity from task-based fMRI, and response to cognitive training intervention and transcranial direct current stimulation in early psychosis.
